Review by Sarai
I enjoyed Hymnia’s personality, her interaction with the deities was priceless and I loved that she can be quite the spitfire. Of course, that trait makes her all the better a match for a dragon....this story and series has brought Greek mythology to life in a wonderful way and I highly enjoyed the addition of Celt and Irish myth to this tale.
4 RIP Gravestones out of 5!

A Quiet Life (a note from Urania)
After the upheaval caused by the man-made Gate (which tale my storyteller Masha Holl has related in The Brightest Heaven), I am only too happy to rest and enjoy a quiet time on human Earth.
Even with all the changes in his life, Daniel remains the bright spirit I saw first on the rocky beach of Maine. He still fills my soul with his creative fire. And having to live as human isn't quite the harship many Olympians would have you believe. Especially in these cozy, comfortable times.
I must admit, I have been seduced by electronics. Games, computers, graphic applications... And Zoe, Daniel's daughter, with her thirst for knowledge and her neverending creativity, is no less a delight, especially when she sits down to work at her computer and lets it absorb her to the exclusion of anything else.
I could say that I am happy. But I have a cautious nature. I have been too well taught by relatives and acquaintainces on Olympus to rest easy long. It has been years since anything serious has called either Daniel or me to our duties. Something is bound to break our fragile peace. And my destiny is tied so closely with his, and with his daughter's, that I still cannot see anything of our futures.
Now Zoe is preparing to leave for college. A new life is opening up for her. Olympus has vowed to watch over her for the length of her mortal life, but even Zeus cannot gainsay the Fates, and not even he knows what they are weaving into Zoe's life thread.
I sense... something. Imminent. Momentous. I may have to call on my scribe again to write down these impending events.

Returned with inspiration!
I'm back from my journey through Hades' realm. In retrospect, why does a folly always tend to be instigated by one's parent? Alas, the outcome far exceeds the catalyst. ;) I can't reiterate enough that one should always gravitate toward the light. Life? What a thing to ponder. And in my immortality, I learned life is not something to squander. Find purpose. Relish in the moments you share with others. More so, get over yourself. I did... Oh to forget that madness. But my darkness proved Jake's light. I think. Looking back, it was also a vice versa thing. Well, Skhye asked me to come over and tell you what I'm up to these days.
I've opened a business in the land of North America. My beloved Jake encouraged me to help illiterate adults overcome their illiteracy. He calls it a War on Illiteracy. Okay, I'm into warriors. You know, I'm the muse of epic poetry and beautiful speech. So, I greatly approve of those heading out to fight for greater good, especially implementing writing! Well, there's this man who needs some help. And I've sent the perfect woman for him. Uh, I mean, to help him. *giggle* They're going to make such a cute couple. ;) Have I lowered myself to matchmaking? No. I'm merely beating an evil spirit at her own game. You know, striking with my stylus. ;) Making a difference one human at a time.
Now, everyone take note. My story SONG OF THE MUSES BOOK 1 is in paperback at http://www.amazon.com/ where you can read about all the passion and angst that befalls two of my muse sisters and myself! Have a beautiful weekend. ~Calliope
